Weekly Vintage Favorites #3
This is not a drill. We’re talking TWO tramp art boxes and roses that never die.
Welcome to the third installment of my Weekly Vintage Favorites, a space to slow down and appreciate the best finds of the week. This series is about the story and the process. We’re taking a deeper look at what’s been inspiring me in the world of vintage and home decor.
Each week, I’ll share what’s been catching my eye, like pieces that:
Stood out for home decor or for resale
Surprised me or taught me something new
Made me excited to be on the hunt
So without further ado, let’s get into the finds!
#1 Vintage Handmade Roses
One thing about me is I’m floral obsessed. Two out of two tattoos are floral. In college, I even participated in Floral Friday, which was really just me wearing florals every single Friday. And yes, I had more than enough pieces in my closet to make it happen.
So obviously, when I saw these vintage metal roses, I could not resist. They’re delicate but dramatic, and honestly, they might be my favorite kind of bouquet. At $12.99, they weren’t exactly a thrift store steal, but a bargain compared to fresh flowers. They’ll never die, and my cats can’t eat them. 😅 This is actually a problem because I have approximately two safe, high-up spots in my house where flowers can live.

#2 Tramp Art HAUL
Most of what I’ve shared thus far has been for me because, well, I keep my favorites. But at this point, I swear tramp art is just finding me nowadays, and it would be unreasonable to keep it all. Here are my most recent acquisitions that I am promising myself are headed toward my antique booth.
This first one is a delight to look at. I’ve been on the lookout for tramp art with unique shapes instead of the usual rectangular patterns, and this one delivered. It has the perfect amount of patina. This box doesn’t have hinges, which I actually prefer because it means there’s less to break!

From the same seller, I got this second box with scallops and the most beautiful carved details. Is there anything better than finding a dated antique? This piece has been around for 115 years, and it’s in such good condition that I hope it makes it another hundred.
That’s a wrap on my favorite vintage finds from last week. I don’t want to spoil anything, but next week’s is already GOOD. (And we are only halfway through the week!) We’re talking about a beauty of a Facebook Marketplace find.
If you missed Monday’s post, I shared some of my best merchandising advice that took me literal years to figure out. If you’re looking to level up your sales and aesthetic in your vintage booth, that one’s for you.
I’ll see paid subscribers on Monday, and everyone else next week for another round of vintage favorites.
Until then, happy vintage treasure hunting!
